Rules for publishing an author column: accepted topics, minimum length, cover-image rights, approval, restrictions, byline and author page.
If you want to publish an article as an outside author, we mean an authored column, not advertising, a press release or paid placement. This is the master English version of the publication rules; the newsroom should insert the exact sections and examples of the publication where it appears.
What you can submit
We welcome opinions on events and decisions, explanations of difficult subjects, professional and personal experience, cultural and social observations and practical analysis. An author may argue, evaluate and write in the first person as long as verifiable facts are kept separate from opinion.
We do not accept direct advertising, calls to buy a product or service, press releases, other people’s texts or articles whose real purpose is to promote a company. The boundary is simple: a column answers a reader’s question; advertising answers the client’s marketing task.

The cover image should be your own, supplied with the photographer’s permission or taken from a source whose licence allows the intended use. Images inside the article may be added with captions. A picture found through image search is not automatically free to use simply because it can be downloaded.
How publication works
First create an account and complete your profile: byline, subject area, short biography, photograph and language. Then apply for author approval. The network owner approves an author manually once. This is a safeguard against bots and spam, not an editorial examination of every article.
After approval, create a column, choose language, publication and section, add a headline, cover image and text. The article is published without waiting for an editor’s decision if it passes the automatic checks.
What the author receives
A published column has the publication’s masthead, date, section and byline. An author card with photograph and biography appears below the article. All of that author’s texts in a particular publication are collected on an author page. There is no payment for columns, and publication does not promise employment or professional status.
The author retains the rights to the text. The publication receives a non-exclusive right to display it, keep it in feeds and archives, and translate the headline and lead for navigation. The author may republish the article elsewhere, although from a search perspective it is usually better to post an announcement rather than a full duplicate copy.
Example of a suitable column
Until there are enough live examples, consider this sample topic: “Why tenants read rental agreements in the wrong order.” A lawyer can explain three clauses that affect costs and termination, give a typical situation and finish with a checklist. The author does not offer legal services, provide a phone number or send the reader to a company website. The text is useful on its own.
Before you publish
- the text answers a reader’s question;
- the headline does not promise a service or sale;
- the article is at least 120 words;
- a section has been selected;
- a cover image is uploaded and its rights are clear;
- there are no external addresses in the body;
- the article does not duplicate your previous column;
- the language matches the publication.
What Columnist gives you
The dashboard connects an outside author profile with publications in the Mosaic network. After one-time approval you publish independently and can work with several publications in your language, although one particular text appears in only one of them. Drafts and published articles remain in the dashboard. A published column can be reopened, corrected and saved; it can also be withdrawn when necessary.

FAQ
Do you pay authors?
No. This is a system for independent author publishing, not commissioned writing by the newsroom.
Can I put a link to my website in the article?
No. External addresses in the body are not allowed and are removed by the platform. The author is visible through name, photograph, biography and author page.
Can I use a pen name?
Yes. The public byline can differ from the account name. Anonymous columns are not allowed: every article is signed.
When will my article appear?
After one-time author approval, a new column is published without waiting for a manual editorial decision if it passes the checks. No exact time is promised for first approval.
Reading is half of it. The other half is a column with your name on it, in a real publication.
