You keep your rights

You keep the copyright to your text and images. When you publish a column, you give the publication a non-exclusive right to display it, keep it in its archive and feeds, and translate the headline and lead for its own navigation.

What you confirm when you publish

You confirm that the text is yours, that you have the right to publish every image you upload, and that you are not presenting someone else’s work as your own. Every column carries your name, and that byline is part of the promise.

When we may remove a column or account

We may take a column off the site at any time and will tell you when we do. A withdrawn column returns to your desk as a draft. We may close publishing access for advertising presented as a column or for unlawful material.

Your account and profile

Your account is a Chakloon Passport account, the same identity used across the network. Your account name, e-mail address, password and photo are managed there; your byline, biography and writing language are managed here. Deleting your Passport account ends access to this desk.
